Barwon Heads-Australia
The coastal township of Barwon Heads is situated on the mouth of the Barwon River on Australia’s Bellarine Peninsula.
Fronting Bass Strait, windswept surfing beaches challenge many a surfer, while golfers can find their own challenges on the Barwon Heads Golf Course, reputed world-wide for its challenges.
During low tide visitors can spot the boilers of the Orungal (left when salvage crews dismantled the vessel) that ran around in 1940.

Avalon Airport conveniently located between Melbourne and Geelong operates services from numerous airlines and from most Australian cities.
Hired cars are available at the airport. It is a 2-hour drive from the heart of Melbourne along The Great Ocean Road. The V/Line provides train services from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne.
The Barwon Heads Airport, a small airport is mainly used for training but will accommodate small private aircraft.
